About Magsoft

If your work involves designing or optimizing electrical devices based on the behavior of electric or magnetic fields, Magsoft has what you need. Magsoft has fully integrated CAD packages, based on both the Finite Element Method and the Boundary Element Method. Our software is designed to remove computational roadblocks from your work, leaving you free to do what you do best - design.

Magsoft products are used throughout the world by many organizations. They are used in research and development departments, in new product divisions, and in manufacturing sections. Magsoft has worldwide distribution supplied by a network of partners and distributors.

Products

Magsoft has many powerful CAD software packages. Some of these packages are:

Flux2d graphic

FLUX2D, a 2D FEM analysis program. FLUX2D computes electric, magnetic and thermal problems for 2D and axisymmetric geometries. FLUX2D offers coupled analysis including magneto-thermal, electrothermal, rotating and linear motion, and external circuit connections.

Flux3d graphic

FLUX3D, a 3D FEM/BEM (Boundary Element Method) analysis program. FLUX3D computes electric, magnetic, and thermal problems for 3D geometries. FLUX3D offers multiple formulations for the computation of magnetic problems and weak coupling between electric, magnetic and thermal applications.

PHI3D, a 3D BEM analysis program. Phi3D computes electric and magnetic problems for 3D geometries. Phi3D is very well adapted for electric field problems and small skin depth eddy current problems.

WAVE2D, a 2D FEM/BEM analysis program. WAVE2D computes the propagation of electromagnetic waves for 2D geometries. WAVE2D features the computation of far field and radar cross sections.

ATILA, a 2D/3D FEM analysis program. ATILA computes electro- and magneto-mechanical problems for 2D and 3D geometries. ATILA was developed for designing and optimizing smart devices and is capable of analyzing 2D and 3D elastic, piezoelectric, and magnetostrictive structures.

Flux-CHIP, a Finite Element Method based program. Flux-CHIP computes the for the computation of electrical and thermal interactions inside electronic components.

Available Services

Our mission at Magsoft is to provide you with computational tools, support, and services to make your job easier and your work more productive. To that end, we provide many options that make our software readily available to our customers.

Programs

Our application modules are available for sale or lease. They can be obtained separately or as a total package and are available in single or multiple user versions.

Hardware

Our software can be installed on PC's, workstations, or mainframes. The software works under several graphics environments including XWindows and Tektronix graphics terminals. Most of our software can also be installed as an IBM-PC version running under MS-DOS. Watch for the new Windows 95 versions of our software which are coming soon.

Consulting

Magsoft also offers consulting and computation work. A team of design engineers, who are experienced users of our software, is available to perform a wide range of computations for you. They can work on everything from the initial stages of design to the completion of your device.

Training

Magsoft conducts training sessions to teach new users the basics or advanced features of our software. Because our training is adapted to the specific needs of each customer, we make it very easy for the new user to quickly become very productive.

Maintenance

A maintenance and support contract, including software updates & documentation is offered to purchasers of our products. Assistance is provided for both software use and device modelling.
